God Is No Respecter Of Persons
God Is No Respecter of Persons

In the context of the scriptures, the phrase "God Is No Respecter of Persons" does not allow people to have a different God than the Creator of the heavens and the earth; nor does it allow people to set aside the Commandments of God in order to do what they want to do.  The first Commandment reads:

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."  Exodus 20:3

God was no respecter of persons when Cornelius, the gentile, received the gift of the Holy Ghost:

"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.  The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)"  Acts 10:34-36

Now, let us consider that man Cornelius:

Cornelius did not believe in pagan gods; nor, were his actions contrary to the Commandments of God.  The record states that he was a man of prayer; a just man who generously gave alms to the poor.  Cornelius was a devout man that feared the God of Israel.

THERE IS NO RESPECT OF PERSONS WITH GOD
who will render to every man according to his deeds.

"To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and
immortality, eternal life:"  Romans 2:7

"But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:"  Romans 2:10

IN GOD'S JUDGMENT AGAINST SIN
there is no respect of persons with God.

"But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds ... But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,  Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; ...   For there is no respect of persons with God."   Romans 2:5 - 11
