THE GOOD GUYS AND THE BAD GUYS

THE GOOD GUYS AND THE BAD GUYS

Some of our Sabbath keeping brethren have been taught that the Torah commandment to be circumcised still applies to those who are born of God. Let's look at the Scriptures about the good guys and the bad guys of circumcision.

BAD GUYS:

Act 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

GOOD GUYS:

Act 15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them. [the bad guys from Judea]

BAD GUYS:

Act 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

GOOD GUYS:

Act 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

Act 15:10 [Peter said] Now therefore why tempt ye God, [Bad Guys] to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Act 15:24 Forasmuch as we [Good Guys] have heard, that certain which went out from us [Bad Guys] have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

SUMMARY:

BAD GUYS say:
"Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved" and that it is needful to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses.

GOOD GUYS say:

BAD GUYS try to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples and subvert their souls saying "Ye must be circumcised".

It is not hard to see who are the BAD GUYS...
