& Avoid the Chaos of Email Attachments

If you're like me, you can't live without email, but at times it also seems you can't live with it, either.  After pondering this quandary, I think a good part of the problem with email is that so many of us are using email to solve the wrong problem.

You see email was invented to send a message from one person to others, and it excels at that.  But chaos emerges when you use email to send file attachments back and forth with colleagues, or to send schedules and agendas back and forth that are always changing.  Before long, email in boxes are cluttered with multiple versions of the files and schedules and no one can find the right version anymore.  Email is just not a good way to share files nor calendars.  At times like these, email is the enemy.

Here's what one user recently told me:
"Perhaps I am saving the best for last, but KeepandShare has dramatically reduced the amount email documents I would send and receive.  I make a lot of revisions to multiple documents at once and it is nice to do so without having to flood a client’s in box.  It is a great tool and I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to reduce electronic clutter in their lives." - Matt, in Pittsburgh, PA
So bring a little more order to your life and the people you share with, whether they're your business, club, family or other group.  Use KeepandShare folders and sharing to efficiently securely keep your files, documents and schedules in one place, online, where everyone can always find the up-to-date version instantly.

 Brontosaurus,
Fine questions to ask!  Here is a good link to an overview of sharing.  Yes, the email command sends a link to the document to your friends.  But for them to see it they must of course have permission to view it.  If you've shared the document 'Public', then they can view it without logging in.  But if you have shared it privately with other users, then they must log in first so KeepandShare knows they are the users to whom you have given viewing permission - this is how we keep your information private.
Rest assured, information in your KeepandShare account is never visible to others unless you've set the sharing to allow them to see it.  And then, it's only the specific documents / files that you've shared - they cannot see the rest of your document.

Hi... I am totally new at keepandshare and I am totally lost in using this... don't know where to go... I tried the e-mail feature, apparently, it links to your keepandshare document account but the person in order to view it has to log in. And if the person do logs in, will the person be able to see all your personal information, the addresses, the to do list, everything? How else can that person view the e-mail intended for them? Very confused. Please help. =)

So true!!! My favorite use of Keep and Share right now is planning our daughter's wedding while she is 500 miles away.  With our "Wedding Overview" page, the four of us planning (bride, groom, mother and bride's sister) always have the most up to date information just a few clicks away!! I never send e-mail attachments; KeepAndShare is so much easier.

I can't tell you how many times we've had problems because people have used the wrong version of a file because they were using email as their 'file system'.  Putting the files in a folder in a web-based solution like Keep and Share makes much more sense!
