Consumer Reports is one of the top ten circulated magazines in the country. It is published by Consumers Union (CU), an expert, independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to work for a fair and safe marketplace for all consumers and to give consumers the information they need to protect themselves. In order to remain independent and impartial, CU does not accept outside advertising or free samples. Instead, the organization employs several hundred mystery shoppers and technical experts to buy and test the products it evaluates.
