'I'm in and I'm in to win.' It was that simple statement, posted on her campaign Web site, that launched the much anticipated 2008 presidential campaign of New York Democratic Senator Hillarry Rodham Clinton. If elected, she will become the first female president in U.S. history.

'The stakes will be high when America chooses a new president in 2008,' she said in a statement that was posted on hillaryclinton.com along with a video announcement. 10/14/2008 The US VP Candidate Who Can Spell IT - Sarah Palin
If you are living in North America and have any interest in IT, you have come to realize that not a single politician from either side has really wanted anything from us for some time other than money. The Democrats have used Web technology more aggressively but, since Al Gore, have hardly been big supporters. McCain is still trying to figure out what e-mail is.

10/14/2008 The 2008 US Presidential Election As a One-horse Race
The first debate of the 2008 US presidential election came on a Friday of an eventful week for the world. The high level segment of the United Nations General Assembly began on Tuesday in New York, the day the US economy and Wall Street were already in crisis.

10/14/2008 Changing Tides
Pakistan has been exceptionally unlucky in this regard. Not only is it infested with terrorists but it is also surrounded by hostile entities which are fueling terrorists activities in Pakistan. Religion has been the biggest curse on this country. Prime Minister Z. A. Bhutto (Late) and then Gen. Zia-ul-Haq (Late) were the culprits who introduced the concept of Islamic state and from that time onwards, Pakistan has been on an economic and moral decline.

10/14/2008 Palin-Biden Debate Bigger Than Riggs-Billie Jean King's Battle of the Sexes
In 1973 Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs in Houston's Astrodome before a packed 30,000 fanatical fans and another 50 million eyes glued to TV's in 37 countries. It changed the world for women! Equal-gender pay, scholarships and workspace relationships got a shot in the arm worldwide and it is still reverberating. As of just last year, all Grand Slam tennis championships have agreed to equal pay prize money for both men and women. It has taken 35 years, but it is a reality, finally!

10/14/2008 Sarah Palin - Overture For Special Education
The current presidential election has created a novel situation for those of us who work with kids with special needs. Governor Palin has promised that if she is elected to work with John McCain in the White House, she will be an advocate for families who have children with special needs. As I thought about the possibilities this might present for reform of the special education system, I inevitably considered the TAKS testing that goes on in Texas.
