I'm Tammy. My day job is in pharmaceutical sales, but I have a lot of other stuff going on in my life, which has necessitated a knack for organizing. Take the condo association of 26 condo owners where I live. For years it bugged me that the association information wasn't easily available to members and was always getting lost. Their bylaws call for two formal meetings a year, with agendas ahead of time, minutes, official votes and more. What they used to do was make lots of photo copies of various documents, pass them out at the meetings, and then at the next meeting hardly anybody would have kept their copies.
So when I started using KeepandShare I realized KeepandShare would be invaluable for these group meetings. First, for my condo association, I created a KeepandShare account named "WillowStream" (the name of the condo building), and within this account I used the Document application to create folders for Agendas, Meeting Minutes, Maintenance History, and Owner Roster. To get things started I put the last 3 meetings' worth of agendas and minutes in KeepandShare by simply copying and pasting them into the KeepandShare window from Microsoft Word. Then I clicked on Share and edited the Share Page with a photo of the Condo building on it and WillowStream in a big headline font. Then I sent an email to all the condo members giving them the link to their new condo share page at "http://willowstream.KeepandShare.com". The effect was a professional web presence with the plus of documents neatly organized by folder. I got lots of compliments from my neighbors.
A few weeks later the condo had a plumbing emergency - unit 402, whose owner was on vacation, was leaking into the unit downstairs. That was when I realized that the condo association needed an up-to-date, always available list of emergency contact information for each condo owner. So I created one in KeepandShare and told the neighbors to go to it and post comments correcting any errors in it. Now all 26 owners have access to the latest version of the contact information.
I saw some of the same problems at my church, where I work on the building committee as a volunteer, helping to coordinate and manage the maintenance and preservation of the church's land marked building. I created a KeepandShare account named "MenloParkPres" and created a similar set of documents online for the building committee and the church staff to stay coordinated and in touch by all working off of the same version of each document rather than going crazy emailing them around to each other.
