We have two households, me with the kids, my ex-husband and his second wife. This online calendar provides us with a great way to put all of our family's activities on one template.
This way, all of the kids' items are in one place, all questions re: whose weekend is it are answered, and Grandma can check it out to see when the kids are where so she can make plans to have them over, too. Plus, this way she never has to miss another school concert for lack of announcement. It's all on the calendar! I love it!
Next up I'm going to add a second calendar, a duplicate of the first, on which I could put my own private items and events. These are things I want written alongside those of the kids, but not necessarily viewable by other visitors to the site. Is that possible? (Yes, it's very easy using KeepandShare's 'overlay' calendar feature)

Soccer Parents & Kids - Who's on First?
I've been a user and "salesman" for K&S for 6 months or so and would be lost without it!
We have 2 sons who are both involved in travel soccer. It's quite confusing to figure who's got to be where when. I love being able to pull up my calendar on either my smart phont's browser or the emailed copies of our family calendar!
One of the most unique and helpful features separating K&S from other family organizer services is the icons I can assign to each event. We can now look at the monthly composite calendar and see each person's individual events because they are color-coded from their individual calendar tabs. But, more meaningful, when both kids have games on the same day, we need to know whether one or both are away games so we know if one or both of us are going to be on the road that day. We could have made the home and away distinctions using key words in the event text, but the icons enables us to have a quick visual reference--i.e., car for away game, happy face for a home game. I just like the versatility K&S affords.
I subscribed originally only to use the calendar features, but have begun taking advantage of the other tools K&S provides. K&S is on its way to becoming a single provider of key features I need to keep my life straight and keep me in touch with others. I thought you might like to read about one very successful story from a user.
I recently upgraded from the Calendar Pro to the Premium membership to take full advantage of the offerings.
