You can easily include and combine other calendars inside your current KeepandShare calendar, allowing you to flexibly view combined schedules.
Including calendars from within your own account: for instance, if you are using multiple calendars in your account, such as calendar1 for your personal schedule, calender2 for a car pool schedule and calendar3 children's soccer team, you could then 'include' the car pool and soccer calendars in your personal calendar, providing you with a powerful, 'combined calendar' view.
Including calendars from other users' accounts: you can include any KeepandShare calendar you have access to. For example, couples and friends can share their calendars with each other and then 'include' them as overlays to view combined schedules.
How to include a calendar overlay:
(1) Give the overlay command. Go to your calendar and click on the blue bar's 'Customize' command, then click on 'Choose a calendar to overlay':
(2) Select the calendar you want to overlay. First you have to select a specific KeepandShare user account by typing some of their user name or first and last names. Click on 'Search Now' and when you see their name on the resulting list click on 'View shared calendars.' You are then shown a list of available, shared calendars. Click on one of them.
(3) Assign a color and overlay name. The name will be displayed on your customize screen. The color will be used when displaying the overlay inside of your calendar.
(4) Your new overlay is displayed on the customize screen. Note that each overlay has a check box to temporarily turn its display off to 'de clutter' your main calendar:
Click on the 'Remove Overlay' link to completely remove any overlay. Note - if you want to change the color of an overlay, at this time you need to first remove it and then add it all over again, choosing the new color.
(5) Click the blue 'Update' button to commit your new Customize settings.
