Sharing a Discussion With Your Friends

The Share With controls allow you to share your Discussion with other named KeepandShare users. (You can find these controls by clicking the blue "Edit" command next to the Discussion name).

Sharing is simple - just type in the user name you want to share with, such as "JSmith" and then Save the document. When you share a document, other users can view the document, but they cannot change it unless you also give them edit rights by checking the "edit" checkbox next to each field.

If you want to share a Discussion with more than two users, you should first create a share group. Share groups can include unlimited number of users, and can be used again and again to share many documents, photo blogs and other KeepandShare information. In the following image you can see this user has defined a number of share groups and has just selected "A Team".

When checked, the "Alert friends of my changes" checkbox tells KeepandShare that whenever you edit this document a notification should be sent to the friends you've shared it with. The notifications will appear in their Dashboard the next time they view it.
