Viewing Documents

Whenever you click on a document title you are immediately placed in the document viewer which displays the document to you, but does not provide editing control. The document viewer is optimized to allow for easy viewing and provides a number of commands that are useful when viewing information, whether it is your own or friends'. Most of the commands are in the row of buttons at the top of the document viewer:

The "<< View Prev " and "View Next >>" buttons advance the viewer to display the folder's previous or next document. It's a great way to sequentially step through documents.

The "Add Comment" button allows you to write a comment of any length. It is then appended to this document with your username. All comments are displayed at the bottom of the viewed document.

The "Edit" button launches the document inside of KeepandShare's editor so you can make changes. The Edit button only appears if you have edit rights to the document (e.g., you are the original owner, or the owner has given you edit rights).

The "Print" button opens a new browser window with the document displayed in it free of all buttons and user interface, ads, etc.; making it easy for you to print a handsome copy of only the document itself.

The "Email This" button allows you to quickly and easily send an email message to friends with a live link pointing back to this document.

The "Bookmark This" button puts a live link to this document into your KeepandShare Bookmark application.

The "History" button displays a complete history of all viewing and editing activity on this document. Try it, it's fun!

At the bottom of the document, just before any comments, is the "Add Comment" button:
