KeepandShare's documents can contain quite large HTML tables consisting of hundreds of rows. Since it's so easy to securely share KeepandShare's documents online, a large table stored in a KeepandShare document can be an ideal way to provide lists, tables and simple databases on line for multiple users to view and update.
If the table is originating as an Excel spreadsheet, there is a simple process to bringing the table into KeepandShare:
- Open the table up in Excel and go to Excel's file menu and give the 'Save as Web Page' command.
- Then, using Window's explorer, double-click on the file name you saved to your disk from Excel. Your Excel spreadsheet should now be opened as a nicely formatted HTML page in your browser.
- Select all of the table from inside your browser with Ctrl-A and copy it to the clipboard with Ctrl-C.
- Go inside of your KeepandShare document and click on ' paste from Word' (this is the clipboard icon with the blue'W'). Press Ctrl-V to paste your copied table into the pop up window. Click on the 'OK' button of this pop up window (hint: you might have to scroll a little to find the 'OK' button).
- The full table should appear inside of your document and be ready for table editing in KeepandShare.
