Working With Folders

Use KeepandShare's folders to categorize your information, making it easier to organize, find and share your information.

A good idea is to take a few minutes and create a number of folders that organize information the way you like. For instance, if you are managing your personal and home affairs, you might create folders such as "home projects", "finances", "vacation plans", etc.

It's very easy to create new folders.Once you've selected the Document application by clicking on the blue Document command, then click on the blue command bar's "New Folder" command - you'll then be prompted for the name of the new folder.

All of your folders (or lists) are always displayed on the left side in a list:

The folders are always displayed in alphabetical sort order.  So you control the ordering of the folders by the names you assign them. A good trick is to name a folder beginning with a number or "*" and this folder with sort to 'the top of the list' of folders.

You can "drill down" by clicking on a folder name. The contents of just that folder are then displayed on the right side:

You can click on any one of the folders on the left side to quickly switch from folder to folder.

Lastly, by checking the "all folders" box in the show bar, you can cause all folders' contents to be displayed at once:

Another way to quickly switch between folders, and to see 'where you are' is to look in the blue command bar on the right side at the "path locator":

The above sample path tells you that you are looking at the Radio Ads document, which is inside of the Marketing folder, which is inside the Document application. You can click on any of these three blue links to go directly to that location. Therefore, if you are viewing a document and want to instantly 'go up one level' you can click on the parent folder name, or if you want to go up 'two levels' and see all folders, click on the blue 'Document Folders'.

To set folder-level sharing, rename a folder, or delete a folder, just click on the commands under the folder name:

If you're looking to organize with subfolders, KeepandShare doesn't provide sub folders but it does allow you to group your information into separate application tabs, each of which gives you an entire new set of folders.
