Every show bar has a search box in it:

To search, type your search text into the box and click on the "Search" button.

An important principle in KeepandShare is that searches are always within the current application. For instance, if you are searching within the Document application for the term "Robert", KeepandShare will not search within the other applications such as PhotoBlog or ToDo. To search in each application you must repeat the search again in each application by switching to that application.

The rule that searches only scan within the current application also apply if you have multiple application instances such as "Document 2" and "Document 3". When you search within "Document 2" the search is not performed in Document 3 nor Document 1. This helps you maintain separation between your information worlds, e.g., if you were using Document 1 for home information and Document 2 for work information then your searches will not turn up information from the other applications.
