Can I Control Who Gets Notifications From Me?

One of the great features of KeepandShare is that it can automatically notify your friends whenever your information is created, updated or a comment is added.

For these notifications to be sent out, you must check the box "Alert friends"that appears in the Share With controls whenever you edit a document:

This box is checked by default. When it is checked, then everyone in the share groups for a particular item (document, address, photo blog, etc) will be notified with messages in the Fresh Shares section of their Dashboard page. The notification message includes your username, the title of the item, the time of the edit, and a link to the item.

Likewise, whenever anyone creates or modifies an item that they have shared with you, and the "Alert friends" checkbox is checked, a notification message will appear in the Fresh Shares section on your Dashboard.

To block notifications from being sent to everyone, just uncheck the "Alert friends" checkbox on the edit page.

Lastly, if users have access to your information because you have chosen the Public share group, then they will only receive notifications if they have subscribed to receive them from you.
