Can I Block Receiving Notifications from Someone?

How do I stop User Corner articles from appearing?

Notifications are one of KeepandShare's most powerful features since they tell your friends whenever you have created, edited, or commented items they might be interested in - i.e., on items you have shared with them. Similarly, you are automatically notified whenever they have made changes to items they shared with you. Notifications show up in your Dashboard under "Fresh Shares" and "Fresh Comments".

However, sometimes you might find you don't want to receive notifications from a particular user any more. In this case, you can simply block all notifications from that user. Think of this capability as a sort of "Do Not Call" registry.

To stop receiving notifications from another KeepandShare user, just add their name to the block list:

  • Click on the gray "Dashboard" tab and then on Show All Fresh Shares (at the bottom of the 'Fresh Shares').
  • At the top of that screen click on 'Block Receiving'.
  • Then type the user name you want to block into the blank field, and click on 'Block User Name'.

You will then not receive ANY notification messages of any activity on that user's items (regardless of who does that activity). That includes any comments others might leave on that person's items.

KeepandShare occasionally writes 'User Corner' articles with news and tips for users. These articles are automatically shared with all users (that is, will appear in your Fresh Shares). If you would like to block User Corner notifications in your Fresh Shares, just follow the above instructions and type 'user_corner' in as the user name you want to block.
