How to Share 'Publicly'

When you share 'Publicly' your information will be truly on the world-wide-web, accessible to anyone in the world who has the URL to find it without them having to have a KeepandShare account or otherwise log in and identify themselves. It may also show up in search engines such as Google.

It's easy to set your information to be 'Public'. Follow these steps:

  1. Edit the document or photo album, or click 'Customize & Share' in your calendar.
  2. Check 'Anyone (Public)' in the Sharing control.
  3. Save your changes.
You can also easily set sharing at the folder level so that everything in the folder has the same default sharing.

If you choose to share public you may also choose to allow edit rights by checking the 'edit' box. But be careful, if you grant edit rights to the public share group, then anyone can edit or delete your shared information.
