When Is My Information Public?
All user information in KeepandShare is completely private to you, unless you choose to share it with others.
Sharing is controlled by using this set of controls called the 'Share With' controls:
You see these 'Share With' controls whenever you edits an item or click on the 'share folder' command.
Use the edit check box to grant editing rights when you share. If the box is not checked, then your friends can only view and comment on your information. |

The three possible levels of sharing are:
- Private. You have not assigned any share rights to any other users. The "Share With" fields are all empty. Your information is not shared and remains completely private to your account.
- Protected (friends only). You have filled in the "Share With" fields and thereby assigned one more more user or share group names the right to access your information. Only the named individuals and groups can access your information, and then they can only access the specific folders or items you granted. It's easy to invite friends to have private accounts linked with yours.
- Public. You have chosen the "Public" share group in the "Share With" field - this means that this information will be shared with the public in just the same way any public web site is - it can be accessed by the general public.
