Anonymous is a special
username that is given to visitors who have not logged into KeepandShare. Because they have not yet logged into KeepandShare, we cannot report to you who they are.
Anonymous users can only view your 'Public' information - that is, documents, photoblogs etc. that have been shared with the 'Public'
share group.
Anonymous users can also view your Share Page, which is always public, as it is your web presence through KeepandShare. On the worldwide web, web pages are always publicly accessible.
KeepandShare gives you the best of both worlds by keeping all of your information private unless you mark it 'Public'. Once it's public, we do not require visitors to be logged in to view it (e.g., they might not yet have created a KeepandShare account for themselves).
Why do I see many 'Anonymous' visitors to my pages when I give the 'History' command on a document or photoblog ? Whenever someone views a public share of yours and they are not logged in, their visit is logged as a visit by an 'Anonymous' user. So if you see many visits by 'Anonymous' to a document or photo blog of yours, they are, in all likelihood, actually a variety of people. They are probably many of your friends and family who have heard about your new document or photo blog and they're just viewing it without first logging in.
Who are all the 'Anonymous' visitors to my share page? If the friends you've shared with are first coming to your share page (e.g., going to 'johnsmith.keepandshare.com') before they log in, they will log as an anonymous visitor, even if they then use the Member Sign In box at the bottom of your share page to immediately log in.
