How to Use the Christmas Wish List

How to Print a Wish List: browse the attractive collection of Christmas Wish List templates and use the green Print command.

How to Share a Christmas Wish List Online:

  1. If the wish list is not already in your account, copy your favorite Wish List template into your account by clicking in the wish list template, selecting all the text in it, and then copying it to the clipboard and then pasting into a new document in your own account.
  2. Set the sharing on the wish list document so your friends can view and edit it. Note: if your wish list was created for you when you first signed up for KeepandShare, it will already be shared with a 'Wish List' share group. But you might want to add more friends to this Wish List share group.
  3. Email your friends with the link to the document. One easy way to do this is to click 'edit' on the document, and then give the 'Save and Email' command.

Remember, if you are running out of room, you can always easily add more rows to your wish list.

How Kathy Shares Christmas Wish Lists Online:

Here is how one user created her extended family's online wish list in just a few minutes:

"Previously our extended family always had a tough time around giving presents," said Kathy, a KeepandShare member. "The holidays were really stressful. KeepandShare solved that problem for us!"

Kathy continued: "It was really easy.   I used 'Invite a Friend' to sign up our family members for free KeepandShare accounts, which means now I can share private documents with them. Then, I created a Christmas Wish List by copying a template and gave the family members both viewing and editing rights, so it works just like passing a sign-up sheet around in a room except it's on the web, which is really key, since we live all over California."

"I put all the family member names in the document - cousins, uncles, aunts, grand parents.  Then, next to my name, I wrote 5 or 6 gift ideas for myself. I told folks to write their own wish list next to their names."

"Then everyone in the family can always see the current list by visiting my KeepandShare wish list document .   People can add to their wish lists at any time by editing my document, and everyone else is updated with notifications on their dashboard.  And, importantly, whenever someone buys a gift they cross if off the list by typing a big "X" in front, or marking it with the strikeout font (like this) so others know that gift idea is spoken for."
