Linking to Stored Files

It's easy to have your blogs, emails or web pages point to any stored file in your account.

All you have to do is copy the link we provide you in a gray box. Whenever you view a stored file by clicking on its name, a gray box appears containing the live link (it begins with "http://www.keepandshare").

Just copy and paste this live URL link. Whenever a user clicks on the link they'll be taken directly to your stored file if they have permission to view it.

Don't forget to set sharing on the stored file, photo blog or calendar, so users will be able to see it. The easiest is to set the sharing to 'Public', but you can also assign the sharing to any KeepandShare usernames or share groups, in which case your visitors will be prompted to log in in order to see your shared file.

Note that you can also use URL links to almost any kind of KeepandShare page or calendar, and you can also embed your KeepandShare inside of web pages on other websites.

User Tip - How to 'Replace' an Uploaded File: once you've uploaded a file and given the URL to other people (or put the URL on some web pages), you sometimes want to replace the file but make sure the URL stays the same. No problem. Just click on the blue 'edit' command next to the file, and the next screen gives you instructions on how to upload a replacement file that will have the same URL.
