Auto Backup is a feature of the Document, Photoblog, Discuss and Address applications that helps ensure you never lose more than a few seconds of work due to PC crashes or accidentally closing your browser window before giving KeepandShare's "Save" command.
How it Works: KeepandShare automatically backups your document (approximately every minute) while you are actively editing a document, photoblog, discussion or address. Then, if you accidentally lose your edits before you've clicked on one of the 'Save' commands, the next time you edit the document you'll be present with the option of accepting the more recent Auto Backup version.
How to Know it is Working: You will notice a message 'Auto Backup on' appear right above the 'Save and Exit' button:

How to Recover a Backed Up Document: simply click the blue 'edit' command on any document. If there is a back up that is more recent than your last save of the document, KeepandShare shows a red bar titled "This document was recovered by Auto Backup":

To recover click on the blue 'Click here for options'.
You will then see a blue link that let's you switch between the last version of the file that was saved by you, and the last version that was backed up by Auto Backup:

Click on the blue link to switch back and forth between these two versions.
When you see the version that you want to keep, click on the save command. Your document is now set to the version your chose and saved.
