Dashboard

Overview

The Dashboard is your home base in KeepandShare, just as the "in box" is home base in an email application.

On the left side of the Dashboard is a column of links to view status in your account and control and configure your account:

  • Notifications (learn more).
  • Visits (learn more).
  • Reports (learn more).
  • My Account - manage your profile, password, subscriptions, email settings, statistics, and more.
  • Friends Share Pages - links to your friends share pages.
  • My Share Page (learn more).
  • User News - recent news and tips for users.

Below we discuss the first three sections of the dashboard, which provide a wealth of information based on KeepandShare's unique notifications technology.

Notifications of Fresh Shares and Comments

Notifications lists the most recent notifications you have received of new or updated shares from your friends. Think of Notifications as KeepandShare's version of "You've got mail!"

Instead of you having to visit each of your friend's accounts and look at all their shared information and try to notice what's new, use the Dashboard Notifications list to see the very latest information they're sharing with you.

Notifications tells you whenever your friends have created, edited or commented on items you might be interested in. You simply click on any notification to instantly see the new information. You can then continue browsing using the browser's back button to return to the Dashboard and perhaps click on another share link.

Every notification shows you:

Once you have clicked on a notification it will no longer be bold face. You can delete notification by clicking the red "X".

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the "Show All Shares" or "Show All Comments" to see full reports.

How to receive notifications of shares and comments - there are two ways:

  1. To subscribe to your friends KeepandShare accounts. Then whenever they create or edit an item that is shared "Public" you'll receive a notice. Click here to learn how to subscribe.
  2. When your friends share an item specifically with you. Click here to learn how to share an item.

Visits

Visits is KeepandShare's instant "visitor register," logging everyone who visits any of your shared information.

Click on any notification to instantly see the item your friend visited. You can then continue browsing using the browser's back button to return to the Dashboard and perhaps click on another notification link.

Every notification shows you:

If your friend was not logged into KeepandShare when they visited your information, they will show as "anonymous." This only happens when you have shared information with the "Public" group, since KeepandShare requires log in before granting access to any protected information.

Click on the "All Visits " to see a full report of all visits spanning back many months.

Premium Feature: This feature is an advanced webmaster feature. Only Premium accounts show the full detail on 'Visits' report. All other account plans show just the 5 most recent visitors.
