Creating and Editing a To Do

There are two ways to create a new To Do item .

First, make sure you are in the ToDo application (click on the gray "ToDo" tab). You can then click on the New To Do command:

You will then be in the To Do editor where you can type in the text of your To Do item. If you don't choose a specific folder, your new To Do item will be saved by default in your 'My To Do Lists' folder.

The alternative method to create a new To Do is quicker since it obviates the need to select a list or priority. Whenever you are viewing a list of To Dos, you will see a blue New To Do command located next to each green folder name:

When you click on this new To Do command it will create a new To Do item instantly, locating it in the same list and priority.

To edit a To Do click on the blue "Edit" command that appears to the left of every To Do item.

Some tips:

  • When you are editing your To Do items note that they can have multiple lines and you can press the Enter key to insert carriage returns (the 'Enter' key). By using carriage returns, the space bar and some hyphens, you can attractively format lots of information within a single To Do item, as in the following item #1:
