Upload Photos Command

You can upload photos in either the 'JPG' or 'GIF' or 'PNG' file formats.

To upload photos, click the gray Photo tab and then the blue bar's 'Upload Photos' command. You may be prompted to approve the installation of the KeepandShare's 'Aurigma Image Uploader'. Say yes. You will then see the "Select Photos" screen, which displays folders and all photo files in the .JPG and .GIF and .PNGformats (KeepandShare does not support any other graphics formats).

This screen will upload all the photos that you place in the lower bin. Follow these steps:

  1. Select a folder from the left column, clicking on the "+" to open folders (if all you see if "Desktop", then double click on it first).
  2. Select the photos in the top bin and click on the 'Add' button (you may also drag and drop the photos to the lower bin).
  3. You may select photos from more than one folder.
  4. You may right click in the upper bin to change the style of display.
  5. You may drag and drop photos within the lower bin to rearrange their order (any photo blog created from this upload session will have the same order as the photos in the lower bin).
  6. When you have all the photos you want to upload in the bin, click on the orange "Upload" button.

Installing the Upload Photos Screen: the first time you click on 'Upload Photos' you should be prompted to approve the installation of the KeepandShare's 'Aurigma Image Uploader' (it will be either an ActiveX or Java program depending on your browser and operating system). Just follow your browser's instructions to install the 'Aurigma Image Uploader' and wait for the uploader to install.

If you say no, and later try it again and it does not give you the option of installing the uploader, then simply close all your browsers and restart a new browser window and log into KeepandShare again. Then try the Upload Photos command again. You should be prompted to install the uploader. Alternatively, you can also go to the Document application and try the Upload Files command - installing that program will also get the Upload Photos screen installed.

User Tip: Organize your photos first. Many users find it best to get their photos for a photo album organized ahead of time in a folder on their PC (or Mac). Just get the photos in one spot, and then get them to have file names in the right order (most likely you'll want your photo blogs to be in the chronological order the photos were taken). Then use the 'upload photos' command in KeepandShare and at the end of this command choose the option to create a photo album. The photos will be all in the same order they were in your PC folder. This is the fastest way to create a photo album.

Note: If the Select Photos screen does not display within 30 seconds, click the link that says "click here for manual upload". You will then be given an alternative method of uploading your photos.
