To edit documents in Keep & Share click on the Document tab. Use your folders to organize your documents. We'll click on the blue New Document command to create an empty document. Fill in the title of the document in this name field. And then what we're going to do is show you copying and pasting from another application.
In this case we're going to hop over to a Microsoft Word window and copy all of the text from Microsoft Word and then give the paste command to paste it inside of the Keep & Share document. Save & Exit. And we've now brought in a document to Keep & Share from Microsoft Word.
Go to the Misc folder and click on edit next to this Greeked Text Sample Document. This is Greeked text; don't try to make sense of it. And let's start doing some formatting. We'll pick a larger font size for the headline here. We'll pick a different font style. We'll go over and choose the center option. And let's do a bullet list down here.
We're going to change our mind and though and change it to a numbered list. And then I'd like to show you something pretty cool here, you can add to the numbered list of course, you see it opens up with a new point there. But if you use block indent it will give you sub-points inside of a numbered list. It was pretty cool when I learned that a few weeks ago.
Now we're going to bold face some text and why not do a little italicization as well. Scroll down, open up some white space and use that block indent again. And then here's a command that I like that inserts a ruled line. I use that a lot of times to separate various sections and notes that I am pasting into my documents. Here we've inserted given the table insert command, we'll say we want three columns by five rows. We'll give it a width of 800 pixels, which is pretty wide but we want a wide table. And I'll type in some sample text here just some column header text.
Notice how the columns automatically adjust to the presence of data in them. So as I add text to the middle and right hand columns everything is constantly adjusting so you don't have to worry about column widths. The Table Editor is quite powerful in this Keep & Share editor.
Now we're going to insert a photo. Photos basically are just a giant character to Keep & Share so I've selected it and gave the center command. Click to the right of it and hit a carriage return and that way I can enter text underneath it. A bit of a caption there, lets bold face the caption.
And now I'm going to hop over to a browser window and copy out a URL. I'll show you how to put a hyperlink into any Keep & Share document. You select the text that you want to put the hyperlink behind. Here's the hyperlink command up there, that kind of globe with a chain. And now we have a live hyperlink. Once you save this document anybody viewing it can click on that blue underline to jump to that webpage.
I'd like to show you how to change the font color we'll make this text red, now let's also use background color. I like to use this for highlighting sections in my notes where you can select some text and pick a variety of background colors to call your attention to text. Notice that Keep & Share automatically saved the document; we just clicked another save command.
Now let's share the document with Jackie. We'll give her edit rights, she's in our work group and she's going to further improve the document. And here we share the document with the Blue Sky work team that we're working with so they can view the document. The document has been saved and note here that there's a link that you can use to email to your friends or paste into any website.
