Hello, I was looking at a new hair product and saw cocamidopropyl betaine, which I learned is a coconut derivative.
I'm not entirely sure how it's made and would like to know if the coconut protein (an allergen) remains in the purified cocamidopropyl betaine.

Allergic -producing proteins are almost absent from the finished product. However, sensitive skin may experience the response of side effects, so it is recommended to test a small patch of the skin before use. If you are looking for some gentler, consider cocamide mea . It is also a coconut derivative, but it is more soft. It helps in making a thick, stable latter and improves shampoo texture without drying the skin or hair.
