IS THIS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?
IS THIS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

   "That whoever
                  BELIEVES IN HIM
                     should not perish,
                        but have eternal life."
                               John 3:15

YES!  IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

Friend, if there IS something more to being saved than just
"Believing in Jesus", wouldn't you want to know about it?

Please take a moment to read this warning that the apostle
Paul wrote to the church at Rome:

   "For if YOU
       live according to the flesh
            YOU WILL DIE,

                     but

             If by the Spirit
        YOU put to death
      the deeds of the body,
         YOU WILL LIVE."
                Romans 8:13 RSV

Doesn't that verse clearly say that we must do something
more than just "Believe" to have eternal life?  Well...doesn't
it?

And since Paul says that we are saved IF we put to death
the deeds of the body (by the power of the Holy Spirit)
how can we be saved if we don't?

   PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS:

                           Paul wrote
                       that warning to
                          CHRISTIANS;
               those people were already
         baptized believers, JUST LIKE YOURSELF!

What was written to them, is written to you.  Paul said:  "IF
YOU LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH YOU WILL
DIE".
When you understand what that verse really means,
no false teacher will ever be able to deceive you about
salvation again.  Here is the answer:

"For those who LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH
SET THEIR MINDS on the things of the flesh." (8:5)

"To set the mind on the flesh is death."           (8:6)

"For the mind that is set on the flesh
           is hostile to God;
IT DOES NOT SUBMIT TO GOD'S LAW
..." (8:7)

There is your answer:  the people who "LIVE
ACCORDING TO THE FLESH" are those who do not
SUBMIT TO GOD'S LAW*

*LAW (OF GOD) 1.  The Ten Commandments given to
Moses (Exodus 20:3-17), summarized God's requirements
of Man.  New Compact Bible Dictionary (Zondervan)

Therefore, in order to be saved, the Christian must stop
living according to the flesh and put to death the deeds of
the body by keeping God's Ten Commandments (including
the Sabbath!).

Please listen to me, "let us reason together":

IF      The Bible says that only those who PUT TO DEATH
THE DEEDS OF THE BODY will live. (Rom 8:13)

AND  The Bible also says that only those who BELIEVE
IN JESUS will live. (John 3:16)

THEN Those who PUT TO DEATH THE DEEDS OF
THE BODY are those who BELIEVE IN JESUS!

Therefore, if YOU have not yet put to death the deeds of
the body, please ask yourself this question:

Q.  Would I still be saved if Jesus came today?
A.   Paul says you would not!
