Charles Stanley says that even those who stop believing in Christ cannot be lost.

For example Stanley writes:

"The Bible clearly teaches that God's love for His people is of such magnitude that even
those who walk away from the faith have not the slightest chance of slipping from His hand." p. 74

"The unfaithful believer will not receive a special place in the kingdom of Christ like those who are fortunate enough to be allowed to reign with Him. But the unfaithful believer will not lose his salvation." p. 93

"The apostle's meaning is evident.  Even if a believer for all practical purposes becomes an unbeliever, his salvation is not in jeopardy.  Christ will remain faithful." p.93

"And last, believers who lose or abandon their faith will retain their salvation, for God remains faithful."  p. 94.

On the contrary, Jesus warned believers that those who were workers of iniquity (lawlessness) would be rejected on judgement day:

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY" Matt 7:21-23 (KJV)

FURTHER COMMENT:

Men, like Charles Stanley, are like a nest of termites. Through neglect, they have been allowed to gnaw at the foundational teachings of Christ until much of the professing church is ready to cave in because it is not based upon the obedience of faith.

We have a personal responsibility to "Prove all things and hold fast that which is good." That means we get rid of the termites and the destruction they have caused.
We do that by "earnestly contending for the faith that was once delivered to the saints":

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

We deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ, if we do not submit to His authority and obey His Commandments.
