NO SECOND CHANCES

Many people say that God will give some people another chance "to believe in Jesus" after He returns.  Nevertheless, the scriptures teach that this lifetime is the only time that we can be given faith.  Here is the definition of faith:

"Now faith is the assurance of {things} hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."  Heb 11:1 (NAS)

We ask you:  How can people have a Biblical faith in Jesus after He returns to earth?  The answer is that it will be impossible to have faith then because Jesus will be openly visible to all men.

People are given false hope when they are promised another chance for justification after their death - or the return of Christ.  Forgiveness of sins (justification) is based upon our faith in Christ and we are told:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Heb 9:27 (KJV)

Here is another scripture that proves all men will be raised from the dead to face their judgment: Jesus said:

"Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice
and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment."  John 5:28-29 (RSV)

At the final judgement, all disobedient and unbelieving people will receive different degrees of punishment before they die the second death - never to live again.  Each person will be judged according to what they KNEW and what they DID.  Jesus said:

"And that servant, which KNEW his lord's will, and prepared not himself, NEITHER DID according to his will, shall be beaten with MANY  stripes.

But he that KNEW NOT, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with FEW stripes ..."  Luke 12:47-48 (KJV)

We can be sure that God will be wise and just.

Unbelievers (Like Tyre, Sidon and Sodom) will be beaten with FEW stripes before they cease to exist.

A believer's sins of ignorance are covered by the blood of Jesus.  On the other hand, a rebel in the household of faith* will be punished with MANY stripes before he dies the second death.

WITHOUT FAITH, THERE IS NO SALVATION
WITHOUT OBEDIENCE, ThERE IS NO FAITH.

* In other words:  this is the so-called Christian who says: "I know this will break one of God's Commandments --but I am going to do it anyway."
