SERVICE TO GOD DOES NOT REPLACE OBEDIENCE
A person can knock on doors as a witness all his life and still be rejected on judgment day because he willfully transgressed the law of God. It would be a cruel deception for him to think that somehow serving God replaces keeping His Commandments. Jesus said:
Matt.7 [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work INIQUITY.
Who are those that work "INIQUITY"? This word comes from the Greek "Anomian" which means illegality or violation of the law and generally wickedness.
The apostle John used the same word "Anomian" to give us a clear definition of what true "sin" is. He said:
" ...sin is the transgression of the law. "anomian"
Therefore, an exact literal translation of what Jesus is going to declare to EVILDOERS who say "Lord, Lord, is this:
"I never KNEW you, depart from Me you that do transgression of the law."
God knows the secret things within your heart ... If you love anyone --or anything more than God, you will not inherit eternal life.
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14
