CHRIST STANDS AT THE DOOR AND KNOCKS
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20
Here, Jesus is speaking to churchmen --not the world. Want proof? Read on:
"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." Revelation 3:21-22
The Spirit of Christ stands at the door and calls churchmen to "repent" and overcome temptation; because The Father and the Son do not have fellowship with workers of iniquity. Someone may manifest spiritual gifts and say "Jesus is Lord"; but those things are not proof they qualify for eternal life. Jesus said:
"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."* Matthew 7:22-23
On judgment day, Jesus will slam the door on all so-called "believers" who refuse to obey the Commandments of God.

* Workers of iniquity, [Gk. Anomia] means illegality or violation of the law and generally wickedness.; i.e. sin is the transgression of the law. See 1 John 3:4
