"LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

                     “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

Did you know that Jesus taught us that correction is an act of love?

SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE

If you are wise, you will love people who speak the truth from a motive of love.  You can hear flattering words from thousands of preachers, who will pick your pockets, as you walk together on the broad path that leads to hell!

But, it only takes the rebuke of one faithful friend to turn you  toward the narrow path that leads to life.  Did you know that Jesus taught us that correction is an act of love?   (God and a good father love their children that way.)

When Jesus taught his disciples about this precept of love, he was referring directly to the original context of what he had previously taught Moses:

"Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise **rebuke thy neighbour,** and not suffer sin upon him.

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the  children of thy people, but

THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF ...."
Lev 19:17-18 (KJV)

The truth sometimes hurts --but so does a surgeon's knife. At times, they are the only remedy to preserve the hope of life.

Jesus said:  "If you would enter life, keep the Commandments.

"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed,  WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST."  Rev 12:17 (KJV)
