WHOM TO HELP?
In these perilous times, I hope we have learned from our past mistakes in giving and use great prudence in choosing whom to help. The assets of the early church were never used to support the wicked --nor would they be used to feed someone who would not work. Here is an interesting account of how a king was rebuked for helping the ungodly that hate the LORD:
2 Chronicles 19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
It was the mutual love and care of those brothers and sisters for each other that got the attention of the world.
