The very first step to become a Christian is to have faith in God and repent of your sins by submitting to the authority of Jesus Christ. If you don’t obey the seventh-day Sabbath commandment*, you have not fully repented. If you think that you must disobey God to provide for your family, you do not have genuine faith. “He that committeth sin [transgression of the law] is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
Situation ethics allows you to think that you are serving God; but you are really only serving mammon. The truth is: you love your job and the money that you earn instead of Jesus!
