Our Math lesson for today

In order for people to understand the writings of Paul, they must
first learn some elementary math like:

1 + 1 = 2

and

2 - 1 = 1

Until a person has learned that level of first grade math, he will not understand this verse in Galatians:

"Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator."
Galatians 3:19

One law was given to define sin --because sin is transgression of that law. (The Ten Commandments)

One law was added because of transgressions.

Now, we see that after the transgression of the golden calf, ancient Israel had two laws --because: 1 + 1 = 2

The priesthood of Aaron with the sacrifices, washings and all the other ordinances of the ceremonial law were a temporary law --until the promised seed should come. After the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the temporary law was abolished.

Now, here is a story problem for our math class today:

If you have two laws, and you take away one law, how many laws do you have left?

Donna Kupp

Jesus said: " ... if you would enter life, keep the commandments. When he was asked Which? He referred directly to The Ten Commandments. See Matthew 19:17
