ANTINOMIANS AND JUDAIZERS

ANTINOMIANS AND JUDAIZERS

Here are the first recorded words of Jesus' ministry:  " ... Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."  Matthew 4:17

The Messiah requires his subjects to repent and submit themselves to His authority.  When Jesus was asked  "What good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life:"

Jesus said:  " ... if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."  (The young man knew that ancient Israel had two laws.)  So, he asked: "Which?" Then, Jesus referred directly to the Ten Commandments. Mat 19:16

The problem with many Christians today is they do not understand the difference between The Ten Commandments and "the yoke of bondage".  Do you?

"The yoke of bondage" was a temporary law that was added because of transgressions until the seed should come.  (See Galatians 3:19)  The ceremonial law with the rite of circumcision and the food laws were part of the "yoke of bondage".  "The yoke of bondage" was never included in the Ten Commandments.

ANTINOMIANS are holding that faith renders the Christian free from obligation to obey the moral law and is in itself sufficient for salvation.  JUDAIZERS in the early church were Jews who, though converted to Christianity, still practiced "the yoke of bondage".

According to the scriptures, Antinomians and Judaizers are false teachers.

In order to walk in truth, we must have faith in Jesus Christ as SAVIOUR and LORD. Think about it.  If we do not obey Him, He is not our Lord.  Here is Jesus' last warning to the churches:

"Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." Rev 22:14-15

Those willfully disobedient Christians, of vs 15,  received the grace of God in vain.  They will be shut outside the gates of the city.
