SOME GATHER MORE, SOME LESS
The world system has different ranks, or social classes of people that war against each other for some coveted position; but in the kingdom of God the true worth of every believer is measured by his/her relationship to the Father in Heaven. We choose to serve one another as spontaneous acts of sincere love.
Everything belongs to the Creator. If we possess little, it is only a life estate; and, if we have great riches, it is only a life estate. "For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out." 1 Timothy 6:7
SOME GATHER MORE, SOME LESS
On the six days that the children of Israel gathered the manna, some would gather more than others --but no one lacked.
"This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it [the manna] every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
And the children of Israel did so, and GATHERED, SOME MORE, SOME LESS.
And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating." Exodus 16:16-18
In the household of faith, rich brethren (like Barnabas), are called to be sons of consolation; and poor brethren are mighty in prayer and have other gifts to serve the brethren. We all need each other!
May the world look upon us and say: "Oh, how they love one another."
