PROGRAM CHANGES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY JUNE 2022
Hello All,
Effective immediately as of today the following changes are to be followed per upper Management:
1. Any shopping, outings, or recreation etc needs to be organized around one day of the week in order to save fuel costs for caregivers. The inflated fuel economy is hard on us all and as such, our clients should lower their expectations of staff regarding transportation needs. Please take the time to present this thoughtfully to our clients so they might understand.
2. Caregivers are not to drive client vehicles except for medical appointments only.
3. From here forward caregivers must bring their own snacks and drinks. Again, with the rise in prices and the general state of the economy, we need to respect the personal financial costs of our clients (many of whom are on fixed incomes) when it comes to their groceries. Just as we must conserve on our gas, our clients are forced to conserve on things as well. Do not assume that since clients have not been saying anything regarding sharing their groceries that they have been ok with it. Many feel bad about saying anything and naturally wish they could share everything. However as mentioned above, our client population have fixed incomes and are struggling with rising prices just as much as the rest of us. Please be mindful of that.
Consider being creative in working with our clients to minimize needless costs.
Thanks all. We truly appreciate you as you continue to deliver quality care to our peoples.
