A little brother or sister for Addie Mae!
Aaron got a phone call from Dallas last night with the casual mention that there is going to be another Roper. We expect to have another niece or nephew in May. Boy is Addie in for a rude awakening.... :)
In other news...
Aaron and I are finally going camping just the two of us for our first time. We'll be going to some lake in the mountains and taking our boat and doing some fishing and finally using that camp stove that has been sitting in our garage since we got married!
Horizon's High school small groups start back up this week and Aaron will now be having his small group (freshman and sophomore boys) over at our house (instead of at the church like last year). Should be interesting. Needless to say, I'll be making myself scarce every other Thursday night.
In case you were concerned, the new grass is holding up pretty well so far. We did have 1 bad day with Jack just a few days in. First he somehow got into the trash and got it strewn all over the new grass....yuck! So, he got in trouble for that, and as his pattern as is retaliation, that evening, when we returned from an exhausting trip to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Stockton, he had pulled up a strip of the sod, and a sprinkler wasn't working. (Though Aaron later concluded that the broken sprinkler probably wasn't Jack's work). However, Aaron was furious and ready to do away with Jack right then. (In the middle of all this we also discovered mice droppings in our garage pantry!) I said he had to sleep on it, and sure enough they were cuddling again by the end of the night. Jack took up a tiny piece a few days later and this time Aaron wasn't even fazed....he loves him that much.

The glue traps work great to catch mice in the hay shed; one glue trap caught 4 baby mice!

But the shock was worth it, wasn't it? Having Monica as a sister
was both a shock at the start (though I remember you being a loving big
sister from day 1) and a great friend ever since!
I sure can identify with Aaron and the grass. I sure didn't like
what Ben did last year with a hole in the lawn and then immediately
re-digging it after I filled it in with some sod from another part of
the lawn. And I sure let Ben know how I felt :-)
