12 - Ready for Christmas

Ready for Christmas
We decorated our house for Christmas the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  We got our tree at the "cut it yourself" place on Liberty Rd. in Galt.  It fit just perfectly!
I always have to have a wrapping "scheme" now.
A "decoration" I made.  I did the shapes with cookie cutters as an outline.  But the first tree turned out a little goofy.
I love my reindeer, but haven't found the right candles yet.
My other "decoration" I made.  It kind of got away from me and ended up being something of a monstrosity.
The stockings I made last year.  Again, I used cookie cutters as guides for my shapes.  I'm the tree, and Aaron's the gingerbread man.  Again, I love the reindeer.  Aaron got the entire village last year at the Dollar Tree.  So much for slowly collecting every year.  :)
Our big lights really light up the place.
My christmas dishes form Aunt Nancy that I love!!!!  The nativity set that I grew up with from Mexico.
My white and crystal display.
The goodies I baked for family last weekend.  The chocolate truffles were a disaster.  Tasted fine, but didn't take on a ball shape at all, but rather more of a splatter shape.

Great photos, but the "But the first tree turned out a little goofy" looks fine to me.  It fact it adds to the display since it's not the same :)

The Mexican Nativity looks great on your hutch and I love all your homemade decorations!  Love, Mom

Christina,  I sure wish I had my gifts all wrapped and under the tree.  The house looks great!
