My 26th Birthday
First we celebrated with Aaron's family on Friday the 9th
Cheryl had a beautiful centerpiece that was part of my gift
Wesley had just recently started crawling
Georgia and Ma
Wesley liked all the tissue paper
Aaron couldn't wait any longer to give me my present, so he wheeled it out.
My pink "beach cruiser" bicycle
Cheryl had a hard time with the candles :)
Then, saturday the 10th Aaron took me out to dinner. I'd been hinting at a certain restaurant for a couple years, and sure enough, we went to The Melting Pot, an amazing fondue restaurant in downtown sac.
We got a nice little private booth.
The first course is cheese (which they make right there at the table, explaining what ingredients they're adding to the pot). They give you bread, green apple slices, carrots, and raw vegetables to dip in the cheese.
The 2nd course was caesar salad
The 3rd (main) course was a platter of raw meat.
Lobster tail, tiger shrimp, raviolis, various beef and chicken chunks
You cooked the meats by leaving them in the pot for 2 minutes or so. We also had potatoes, vegetables and mushrooms to cook in the pot. And they're were about 12 different dipping sauces for the meats. very tasty and fun too.
then came the best of all, the 4th course, dessert
We chose a dark chocolate fondue with marshmallow creme and crushed oreo.
As you can see, once again, we were given a ton of different stuff to dip in it.
It was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life...unforgettable!
Good thing I'd paced myself during the previous courses. We were there for 2.5 hours, taking our time. :)
Thank you Baby for spoiling me!
Then on my birthday, February 12, I took a vacation day from work, and went wedding dress shopping with Monica and my mom. She found her dress, so that was exciting. Then we had dinner and Coldstone's at my parents house.
Then, I was thoroughly surprised on Tuesday with 1.5 dozen tulips delivered to my office, with a vase and all! I was shocked and felt incredibly spoiled and undeserving of my wonderful husband. And the white tulips are still going strong almost 2 weeks later!
