04d - Memphis - Days 4 & 5

Memphis - Days 4 & 5
Well, after a few days home, we are all doing well.  Memphis had his 2 day checkup on Wed., and everything was great.  He was within the acceptable weight loss, and I got some help with my breastfeeding.  After some feeding sessions where it took longer to get started then it did to actually feed, Memphis and I are starting to get better at it.  My milk came in Tuesday afternoon, and that change took him some to adjust to, as everything was so much bigger.
The first night home was of course rough, but the last 2 nights have been great.  He's gone to bed with a full belly, and we've just gotten up once in the night to feed.  So, Aaron and I have gotten 6 hours of sleep.
We've received lots of beautiful flowers from friends and family.  Thank you Bells for the surprise on our doorstep!  What a gorgeous arrangement.
Memphis got his first sponge bath Tuesday night.  He screamed through the whole thing.
While Momma has focused on trying to learn how to breastfeed, Daddy has taken care of everything else, all the diaper changes, dressing, burping, helping me position for feeding.  He stayed home with us Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and was an amazing help.
On Wednesday, Aaron's Aunt Lindy & Uncle Jimmy stopped by to visit Memphis.
His Gpa came later that day with my Uncle Rob and a family friend
Resting up in the position I imagine he spent a lot of time in while in the womb
He's soooooooooo cute when he's awake and calm.

Great pictures.  It is so special when Dad can be home and do so much. Good job Aaron.  Glad you are getting the hang of nursing, it can be tough in the beginning. Two miracles with Uncle Jimmy and Memphis together!
