08 - Aaron's Famous Pizza & DOUGH RECIPE
Aaron's Famous Pizza
Aaron likes to make homemade pizza a lot now with a dough recipe we got from my sister-in-law Jennifer. He experiments with different toppings. It's delicious!
3 cups flour
two 1/4 oz packages of quick-rising yeast
2 teasp. sugar
1 teasp. salt
1 cup very hot water
2 Tablesp. vegetable oil
Mix all dry ingredients. Add oil and hot water. Stir until it forms a ball. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover dough with batter bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes. Roll out thin in the middle with walled sides. Generously spread pizza sauce (We use Contadina pizza squeeze), low-moisture pizza cheese, and toppings of your choice (Aaron recommends ground hot sausage from the butcher counter with green bell pepper, hot peppers, onions & black olives, bacon is also good). Bake at 400 degrees until the dough appears golden and the cheese looks done.
