GRASS AT LAST!!!
Wooo-Hoooo! I'm excited about our new grass!
But let's start at the beginning....
We had requested delivery of the sod at 8am on Saturday September 3rd. Aaron got up around 6:30 to start watching for the truck. Then around 8:15 he called and found out they wouldn't be there till 1:00pm. We had an army of helpers over for lunch at noon, and we were all ready and waiting at 12:45 for the sod. 1:00 rolled around and they weren't here, then 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, Aaron and I are both just sick. Here we have all these people ready to help and no sod. Finally, at 2:30, the truck showed up. We all hustled and were done (front yard and back yard) in an hour and a half! Thanks to both our sets of parents, Billy & Stacy, Dallas, and Ma for all their help. And thanks to our moms and Ma for bringing lunch and dessert. We both can't get over how great the yards look now. We've spent a lot of time just staring at the grass. Now all we have left is to put some gravel in the sideyards and our almost 2 year house renovation will be finally finished!!!!
The 6 pallets of sod....
It was very messy to handle and like a jigsaw puzzle, as all the pieces were rolled within the other pieces.
By the time I took my first trip to the back yard, it already looked like this!
Wow, the back yard's almost finished already!
Dad's using the sod roller to push it all into the ground.
Told you the sod was messy. Although somehow, I was the only one that bad off.
And on to the front yard...
Ta Da! Our sprinklers in all their glory!
