*older student/former high school teacher favorably comparing my teaching to that of another program:
I have had at least a half dozen students (like the one above) who have started my class early online and then relocated to Montana by the end of class.Student Comment: Thank you. Having the answers come up after you answer the questions is a simple and helpful way to be able to review things you thought you knew and maybe did not.

Thank you, Dawn Ann, for a great CNA training experience! The three days in Miles City with you, Carly, and Zach were enjoyable as well as educational. It was valuable training seeing you in action at your lab and with your residents at Serenity Care; I enjoyed meeting all of them. Please tell them, especially your Grandpa and Brenda, that I send my greetings!
FYI--I passed the exam with 97% on the written portion and am officially certified. Your help toward this end is greatly appreciated!
And I won't soon forget your magnificent wool!!! It was a real treat for me to see, touch, and smell it, and to hear your explanations of the different sheep genes etc. I'll definitely remember you when I have some time to do some knitting or weaving!
Thank you again for a satisfying experience!

I scored a 96% on the state exam and passed the skills portion! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to training us. If anyone I know is interested in becoming a CNA, I'd definitely recommend your program. Have a wonderful evening.

I appreciate all the extra attention you gave me since I came from Msla!
Thanks so much for everything!
Received a note thanking me for "providing the program and allowing scheduling to fit needs."

REGARDING INSTRUCTOR FORWARDING A STUDENT'S HEADMASTER STATE EXAM RESULTS:
Well, at least I passed*. I'm sorry - I was aiming for a really high score to reflect how good your program is! Thanks for passing this on!
*(This gal scored 89% which may be lower than what she expected, and I know she is capable of, but it is a nice score on comprehensive exam like this.)
CLASS: CNA Theory: Online Skills: Miles City start_date: March 2009 1_: 5 *: I definitely learned new skills and increased my knowledge in the Nursing Assistant Field. 2_: 5 **: Yes - it was thorough and easy to understand. 3_: 5 ***: Yes most definitely. 4_: 5 ****: I think these skills will help me to be a successful employee and a good addition to any healthcare team. 5_: 5 *****: Absolutely! I always got my questions answered in a timely fashion and never felt like I was imposing when I asked. MORE: The online portion was very good as far as learning the material and being held accountable for learning it. The Lab was set up well and covered everything I had studied. I definitely enjoyed meeting everyone and spending time at Shady. That was probably most helpful for me as I am more of hands on learner than just by the book. I can't really think of any negatives at this time.

Just a quick note to again thank you for the CNA classes last November. Am doing fine and enjoyed my work as a CAN. I am now hired as the Activities Director at the nursing home but will certainly miss my work as a CNA. You did a good job as a trainer.

A lot of the things in your class have been a help to me in my Anatomy and Physiology class as well as in Nursing. I'm glad I took your class when I did, this college stuff is a lot of work!

I received a call from one of my distance clinical sites, asking for my permission to give my contact info to a large group of nurses. Well, I'll say that I don't always get feedback, good or bad, so calls like that feel really good! This facility was very good to work with and very patient in my beginnings of this online coordination. This online training combined with distance site clinical requires good communication between instructors, proctors, and students, but it works well for those who really engage in it. Thank you to all instructors and students who have worked with me!
Thank you! i couldn't have done with out you. thank you very much.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you for all of your help with this class...We enjoyed our time in Miles City. Of course I'm glad I passed the test but I would have liked to have done better (online theory). I really don't like those questions that don't have the answer I am looking for.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My first "distance facility" student: (I am so proud of him! He worked hard on this on top of high school studies.)
Thank you very much! yes, I have started work, And i LOVE IT sooooooo much. I am trying to get more high school people to do it. I have one girl in my class who is going to take it in the spring, she is also our ..... Thank you for all your hard work and patience and persistance with me! :) ------- (AND his patience with me as I smooth the "rough spots" in my on-line/distance facility operation! Online communication takes effort.)

With her second set of students sent to Miles City: A distance site DON says it is more cost-effective to send her students to Miles City for lab/clinical and that she thinks I provide a great needed service.
start_date: 102708 ES:1: 5 Learned new CPR technique and so much more. ES:2: 5 I would say very thorough and understandable ES:3: 5 Especially the hands on training skills that were provided ES:4: 5 Some verbal visits and questions that we were allowed were very helpful ES:5: 5 The instructor that i had was very knowledgeable about questions i would ask and i was very comfortable asking them because she had just the right friendliness about her. Yet still was in charge of the class room. ES:6: Can not think of a negative at all. My class was fun and a great place to learn with a wonderful positive attitude. Wish that I could still be in class . It was a very rewarding experience. THANK YOU!
I took this class from Dawn Ann and ready to take my Med Aide now. She is a great teacher and she really works with you. I highly recommend any classes she teaches to take it from her if you have any interest. Cant wait for Med Aide class to start! I am now a traveling CNA and love it!!
1. 5, this course was thorough and informative. It taught me a lot of new informatoin. 2. 5, everything was explained and reinforced through video and instruction. 3. 5, the skills learned were expansive and will allow me to give top quality care. 4. 5, I now know what is expected of a CNA and will be able to perform the job to the best of my abilities. 5. 5, the instructor knew what she was doing, and was able to add onto the exprerience with practical knowledge. 6. I thought the class was very positive and would advise anyone take this class through this instructor.
? 1. (5)Medicine is always changing everyday, always updating, always finding new cures, ect. This course had some things different in it from when I took CNA training over 10 years ago. I'd been a CNA for over 10 years and away from it for about 10 years; I learned quite alot from this course. ? 2. (5)There was volumes of information, however, because of the way the instructor presented the information, I was able to understand the information and able to remember it and retain the information. She presented the information in an orderly way; the information was presented in such a way that like information was together and related. ? 3. (5) I thought I had a good base of information before, but I feel my base of information has increased even more. More information and the instructor has also instilled a renewed curiosity of medicine that makes this student want to learn more and seek to read more about medicine r/t longterm care and CNA work. ? 4. (5) There's no way to thank my instructor enough. I feel so "Lucky" and "Priviliged" for not only becoming aquainted with my instructor, but also for being instructed by her. She has a "very expanded wealth of knowledge and experience" that I, as a student, have been allowed to experience and take in. I am so---- glad that I took the CNA class from her rather than the college. Not only did I find the information, experiences, and the knowledge valuable; I found the one-on-one learning ratio and the learning enviroment more stimulating, realistic, and productive for learning. ? 5. (5)I found my instructor extremly knowledgable of her profession. She has tons of knowledge and experience in the medical field; both as a CNA and a nurse. I find this very valuable because she is able to give us a prospective from both sides. My instructor, Dawn Tramp, is also very
very approachable and available when I need to ask questions or need more information in order to understand the rational or theory of this class. She really works hard to provide one-on-one help for her students and is excellent in identifying those that need more assistance and providing that assistance to ensure their success in completion of the course. ? 6. Positives of the class - The class size is small; very good for providing one-on-one teaching and individualizing learning experience. She is also able to provide learning experiences that you wouldn't be able to get in a larger classroom. The class, because of its size, is also able to be more flexible in its learning approaches; concentrating on and instructing on the areas that need more attention. The negatives of the class - The learning area is small. It would be great to have a larger area; there is so much equipment to move around in a small area. However, if you think about it, this too makes the experience very realistic, because this is also true in longterm care facilities where someone has lived in for many years. They have all their belongings and also the equipment they have to use to stay alive in one, small room.
Date: 07/03/2008 13:36:08 ? 1. I thought the CNA program was great, there was alot of information that I did not know. I think the class is a 5. ? 2. 5 The book we used was the eastest to understand, I was not to much information. There was just the right amount of information to do your job right and very good. ? 3. Yes I think the knowledge and the skills will help you to do a great job, when you are working. ? 4. Yes I agree with that. I think if you don't have the information you will not do your job as well as someone with the knowledge and skills. ? 5. I thought you was very good how you teach your classes. And I also thought you demistrated the skills was very good, and I learned alot. ? 6. Over all I think everyone should take the CNA class before they even start into CNA work. I also think in order do CNA work you should have your CNA card.
Date: 05/22/2008 15:29:10 (Online out-of-state student with limited internet access who came here for lab/clinical) ? 1. 4 I learned a lot of information that will be useful. ? 2. 3 Some information was tough to understand but I believe i grasped the information well. ? 3. 4 I believe i will be able to do my job well with the information I've learned in this class. ? 4. 4 I believe i will gain much satisfaction with what I've learned. ? 5. 4 she showed me the skills needed and was very approachable and nice ? 6. none
