Surrogacy is a reproductive arrangement in which a woman, known as the surrogate mother, carries and gives birth to a child for another person or couple, known as the intended parents or commissioning parents. Surrogacy is often sought by individuals or couples who are unable to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term due to various medical, fertility, or health-related reasons.

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a gestational surrogate who will carry and care for their baby(ies) until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can't do so on their own.
