I think it really depends on the vibe of the event. You don’t want something too flashy if it’s a low-key wedding, but a little detail can go a long way.

When I had to prep for a friend’s garden wedding last summer, I struggled with the same dilemma—making short hair look polished but not overdone. I ended up browsing through this collection of updos for short hair and found a few really adaptable styles. The trick is using minimal accessories and playing with texture—some soft waves or a twist pinned at the nape can do wonders. I followed one of the tutorials from that page and finished the look with some light hold spray. It looked put-together without screaming for attention, and I even got compliments from strangers. Worth trying out at least one look ahead of time just to see what sits best!
