Motivation comes from different places. For some, it’s travel. For me, it was connecting with people from different cultures. What really helped maintain that motivation was joining english group classes online — learning alongside others with similar goals gave me a sense of community, and we encouraged each other to keep going even when things felt tough.

I love that idea of learning in groups. I'm thinking about learning Spanish next. Did you find group classes helpful for other languages too or just English?

Group learning definitely helps with motivation but I took a different approach with Spanish. I started about six months ago and wanted something more flexible than scheduled classes because my work hours change a lot. I tried the best spanish language learning app that has interactive lessons and practice exercises I can do anytime. What keeps me motivated is tracking my progress and seeing how much vocabulary I've learned each week. The app has speaking exercises where you record yourself which felt weird at first but really improved my pronunciation. I also follow some Spanish YouTube channels to hear native speakers
