Đánh theo thống kê XSMT thứ 6 thì vẫn có thể dùng, nhưng không nên phụ thuộc hoàn toàn. Vì dữ liệu ít ngày, cầu thay đổi nhanh nên thống kê chỉ mang tính tham khảo. Ví dụ thấy con 27 ra nhiều trong 7 ngày nhưng hôm sau vẫn có thể mất hút.
Thống kê hợp lý nhất là dùng để tìm lô gan hoặc lô về nhiều. Ví dụ con 64 chưa về 9 ngày thì có thể cân nhắc đánh 1–2 ngày. Hoặc con 18 ra 3 lần trong tuần thì cũng đáng chú ý.
Ngoài ra có thể kết hợp thống kê với lô rơi. Ví dụ con 35 vừa là lô rơi hôm trước, vừa nằm trong nhóm ra nhiều thì càng có cơ sở để đánh. Kiểu kết hợp này thường được anh em áp dụng.
Tuy nhiên nếu chỉ nhìn thống kê dài hạn 20–30 ngày thì dễ sai. Vì XSMT ít đài, cầu không bền nên số liệu dài không phản ánh đúng nhịp hiện tại. Đánh kiểu này dễ bị lệch cầu.
Tóm lại, vẫn nên dùng thống kê nhưng chỉ để hỗ trợ. Anh em nên ưu tiên cầu ngắn như lô rơi, đảo, rồi mới kết hợp thêm thống kê để chọn con chắc hơn.
