Every time I have to speak in front of people, my chest tightens and my hands get all shaky. Last week during a team meeting, I actually blanked out halfway through my talk, which was super embarrassing. I don’t want this to keep happening. Could you share what helps with anxiety, especially for these sudden panic moments?

Oh, I’ve totally been there. A few years ago, I froze during a class presentation — hands trembling, heart racing, the whole thing. What helped me slowly get better was practicing quick grounding tricks, like focusing on one object or taking slow, deep breaths (sounds cliché, but it works). I also found this article midway through my struggle — what helps with anxiety — and some of the techniques were surprisingly practical. Over time, it made those “panic moments” a lot less scary.
